About Shibah

We live in an age of incredible technological prowess, yet not everyone benefits from it. Because of the political, economic, and social ramifications of fast rising inequality, many people have already been left behind and are at risk of falling further behind. As a female tech lawyer in a developing country, Aryampwera Shibah believes that access to technology and knowledge should be available to everyone, to maximize people’s creativity and ingenuity.

Shibah is a fast-rising lawyer with keen interest in intellectual property law, information and privacy law, Fintech and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual currencies, and big data. She specializes in advising digital platforms across a wide range of industries and forms, with a particular emphasis on social networking, automotive and energy.

Shibah is a Legal and Policy Associate with the team at Center for Technology dispute Resolution Uganda.  She holds an LLB (Hons.) degree from International University of East Africa and a post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LDC).

She is currently pursuing a masters in International Energy Law and policy at Uganda Christian University.

Shibah is an active and involved Ugandan citizen who participates in and organizes projects and actions aimed at improving lives of people with disability and mental health issues.
