About Ivy

Believing that the tide is turning and a new generation of women in tech is rising, women must be a part of the debate that is developing solutions for humanity’s future in order to attain equality. Ivy N Mapfaira is passionate about closing the existing gender gap, helping women embrace technology and increasing female representation in tech across the African continent where women have remained underrepresented.

As an emerging woman in Tech law, she hopes to add a voice and inspire the next generation of African women to dominate and overcome the existing traditional gender barriers.

Ivy is a Tech Lawyer, researcher and writer who serves as a Legal and Policy associate at CTDR-U, and holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Uganda Christian University, where in her free time made research on existing policy frameworks in tech law and issues for e-governance.
